Nepal Chasing The Dream In Asia Cup Qualifiers: To Play Cricketing Giants India & Pakistan

Nepal to play Asia Cup Qualifiers 2018 starting from August 29 to September 6 in Malaysia: Asian Cricket Council (ACC). The 14th edition of the Asia Cup is being held in the UAE for the third time, after the 1984 and 1995 tournaments. Currently, Nepal is at Sri Lanka busy for the preparation of Asia Cup Qualifiers 2018. Nepal will play three practice matches on 22 Aug vs Sri Lanka Army Club, 24 Aug vs Bloomfield Cricket Club, and on 26 Aug vs Colts Cricket Club before flying to Malaysia. In the first practice match Nepal defeated Sri Lanka Army Club where as next two matches are yet to be played. Photo: Raman Shiwakoti Nepal along with Hong Kong, Oman, Singapore, UAE and Malaysia will compete each other in the group stage and the top two teams from the group stage will meet in the final, with the winner progressing to the 2018 Asia Cup. Nepal are among the most favorite to top the group stage having won last 20/25 matches against all 5 opponents in 50 over matches. Won: 20, Draw: 1, Abandoned: 1, Lost: 3 (2 vs Oman, 1 vs UAE). The winner of the Qualifiers will join defending champions India and Pakistan in Group A of the Asia Cup. Group B includes Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Thereafter, the top two teams from each of the groups will progress to the Super Four section, from where the top two teams will then play in the final.

Asia Cup Qualifier 2018 : Nepal Match Full Fixture

The 2018 Asia Cup Qualifier will be held in Malaysia from 29th August to 6th September 2018. Six team will fight for a position in Asia Cup 2018 where they will get chance to play with the cricket giant nations like Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan.The event serves as the qualifier for the 2018 Asia Cup.
The qualifiers will be paly on round- robin and final, the top two teams from the group stage will meet in the final, the winner of the final will progress to the 2018 Asia Cup. Six nations consist of Nepal, Oman, Hong Kong, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates and Singapore.

Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League From Ashoj 13

ANFA has announced the date for Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League 2075. The league will start from Ashoj 13 to Magh 16 (September 29 to 30 January 2019). Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division league will feature 14 'A' Division teams. However, full match schedule, venue and fixture is yet to be published. 14 'A' Division teams includes:-
Three Star Club, Manang Marshyangdi Club, Nepal Police Club, Nepal Armed Police Force Club, Nepal Army Club, Jawalakhel Youth Club, Friends' Club, Sankata Club, Machhindra Club, Saraswoti Youth Club, Chyasal Youth Club, New Road Team, Brigade Boys, and Himalayan Sherpa Club.

Rohit Chand Thakuri is the Nepal‘s most promising talented and highest paid footballer in the nation. He is also the only player who has played most of his game from professional clubs of different countries including Nepal, India, Indonesia, and Malaysia. (Scottish Premiership), and Lille OSC (French club) showed interest in him after his sensational performance in the 1-1 draw against Jordan with the national team on the road to the 2014 World Cup which was played in Kathmandu.

Rohit Chand Thakuri was born in Surkhet, Nepal (born 1 March 1992). He started playing football at the age of 8 with his brother Rabin Chand Thakuri, who is also a semi-professional footballer, at the age of 13 Rohit was selected in ANFA ACADEMY, the only football academy for youth players in the country. After being selected in the academy he was able to make it into the U-16 National Team 2008. Due to the outstanding performance from U-16 side at the age of 16, Rohit was called up to the Senior National Team. This was the turning point of his Professional football career then after Chand started to show his magic in the ground. 25 years young Nepalese Professional footballer who plays as a midfielder is currently playing from for Indonesian club, Persija Jakarta in the Liga 1.

Nepal will be played against Yemen on March 27, 2018 in Doha at AFC Asian Cup 2019 Qualifiers. Earlier in the same qualifiers Nepal vs Yemen match was ended in a goal less draw.
